* Wintel Server Engineer * Immediate Start * Diverse role

My client, a boutique finance institution is in the process of upgrading several of their internal systems and software applications.
To assist in this process they are seeking to recruit a senior Wintel Systems Engineer with a background in Server Administration and some exposure to SQL Server admin. The role is a mix of 70% operations with around 30% project work and covers both Wintel Administration and SQL Server Administration.
The ideal candidate for this position will come from either an investment / retail bank or have worked in a similar financial organization.
Technical Requirements include;

* 5+ years as a Microsoft system administrator professional * Clear understanding of NTFS permissions * Knowledge of Hi-Portfolio highly desirable. * Proficiency in installing, troubleshooting and supporting Windows 2000 and 2003 server * Proficiency in installing, troubleshooting and supporting MS SQL 2000 and 2005 clustered servers. * Strong knowledge of Windows Server, SQL Server, IIS, Active Directory and other key Microsoft technologies. * Understanding of SAN infrastructures and ongoing management * Proficiency in VMWare and MS Virtual Server environments * Strong understanding of network protocols particularly TCP/IP and exposure to WAN. * Solid understanding of Cirix and Windows Terminal Server environments. * Solid knowledge of MS SQL server administration and the SQL language.
