Desktop Site Support Technician – Relocations

About Us
ITFM provides professional IT services to a range of corporate and industry clients during periods of relocation or re structure as well as moves and changes.
Our core business is disconnection and reconnection of our clients desktop IT equipment as well as server room and data centre relocations.
The Background
We are currently building our resource capability due to rapid growth and require the services of part time and casual staff to meet the demand. Due to the nature of our business you will mainly be required to work evenings and weekends and ideally be available to start from mid day on a Friday on occasion although most start times are from 5pm onward on Friday's.
Your Role and you
Your main role will be to attend client sites as part of a team of engineers to disconnect all types of desktop equipment and prepare them for relocation, you will then attend the new location and reconnect the devices ready for the end users. You will also be required to complete relevant documentation, undertake basic testing and functionality tasks and fault logging as well as being responsible for some administrative components of the job.

To be successful in this position you must have experience in a similar role, have excellent communication skills along with ability to understand the importance of customer service and be able to work as part of a team.

Whilst you will not be required to physically relocate the equipment you will need to be quite fit and able to climb over and under a work point numerous times in a shift, at a rate that meets our standard levels of productivity. All this while maintaining a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail.

Your Knowledge
You need to have experience in a combination of the following and ideally you will be Microsoft or similar certified although relevant experience is also considered:
• Desktop Operating Systems (inc, MS XP, NT and win ’95)
• Desktop Applications (inc. MS Office)
• Networking Concepts (WAN & LAN)
• PC Hardware
• Problem Solving and Trouble Shooting
