TDT Victoria is conducting a Cadetship program to recruit young people into Logistics. This program is designed to develop future managers for the Transport and Logistics industry.

Paid positions exist for Logistics Cadets- all successful applicants will be employed fulltime commencing 2011. Participants will undertake a Diploma of Logistics both on the job and at TAFE.

Employment will be with companies in across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria.

Students who have completed Year 12 between 2007 to 2010 and who meet the following criteria are encouraged to apply. Pass grades in Year 12 English and a Maths (either Year 11 or 12) subject would be an advantage.

Industry areas of interest could include:
-Business Administration
-Purchasing
-Stock Control
-Warehousing & Storage
-Transport
-Supply Chain Management

Attributes of a cadet
-Ability to problem solve and adapt to changing environment.
-Sound communications skills.
-Have a positive attitude and sound work ethic.
-Keen to learn and self motivated.
-Having a current Driver's Licence and vehicle is an advantage.
